Retailers - Our Conduit to Mango Consumers

Here in the U.S., retailers are hungry for information about mangos. They are asking for guidance on merchandising, crop forecasting and help with promotions, among other things. When retailers position mangos in the best possible way, the mango industry will benefit.
Working with retailers, especially in the produce industry, can be very challenging. Many are understaffed as a result of tight budgets and mergers. They don't have time for long meetings and they won't pore over detailed information. Our presentations must be focused and brief with an emphasis on action steps they can take to improve their mango business.
Our Retail Marketing Agency, Viva Marketing Strategies, carries out the Retail Marketing programs at the direction of the NMB Director of Marketing and the Marketing Committee. The agency team includes four regional field merchandisers, led by the Merchandising Manager and the President/Owner of the agency who ensures that the team is working effectively to get our message out to retailers.
